This great old tavern has a terrific atmosphere and a wonderful staff. Whenever we’re in Hanover, we’re hard put not to head right to Murphy’s… If only for a cold draft.
Their menu features some great salads and burgers, and an eclectic mix of other pub fare. But the Buffalo Wings here are our favorite. Possibly the best we’ve found in New Hampshire. Order the large plate.

The Barley House is one of our favorite places in Concord. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is terrific. We haven’t found anything on the menu that we don’t like and they have excellent drafts on tap. Pull up a stool and stay awhile.

The Peddler’s Daughter has a nice, funky atmosphere, traditional irish pub fare, and a fine selection of beers and ale on tap. If you’re just looking for a quick snack and a draft to wash it down with, try out the deep-fried pickles. …Really tasty.

We came back up through Lowell and decided to stop in Nashua for dinner. Last year sometime, Roger and I stopped into The Peddler’s Daughter, an Irish Pub right in downtown Nashua, but after we’d already eaten somewhere else. After you’ve followed us for a while, it will… Continue reading
